Walking through the dark and cold night Alexander felt thankful to Aiya and Bruno, they managed to keep his mind off the problems he had with Yuviel. But now, when he was all alone it didn't take him long until he remembered her again.
Walking quite fast through the crowds of the town, Alexander knew that going so far into the town, he would have something else to deal with as well.
Even though Yuviel told him to stay away from her, he still loved her with all his heart and if their ways really had to part he would not let her stay alone...with the threat of his clan above her head.
Remembering the threatening letter he received almost a week ago, Alex clenched his fists in anger and continued walking through the crowds of the town, occasionally getting odd looks when people noticed his swords.
After he passed the most crowded areas of the town, mainly the centre he put his left hand into the pocket and felt the ash of the demon he took before. Walking into a dark alleyway he pulled out his hand half filled with the ash and stopped, leaning on the wall.
He was reluctant to use the ash as his knowledge about it was quite limited but he did know it would give him some kind of a temporary power boost, something he would definitely need for what he was about to, especially considering who he was doing this for.
Pouring the ash into his mouth he felt the ash dissolve and seep into his flesh as it mixed with his saliva. It was an indescribable burning sensation going from his head and then spreading throughout his whole body. His eyes rolled back and he collapsed on the ground, back against the wall.

Waking up slowly he shook his head and stood up, his body felt incredibly light be he also felt something weird in the back of his head. Leaning on the wall with his left hand as his vision got blurry and he lost his balance, regaining his senses back after only a few moments he started walking on, trying not to give it too much thought.

More time has passed and he stood motionless at the top of one of the containers in the docks part of the town, looking down at the warehouse that was given to him to use a long time ago...when he was first assigned to the mission involving the Spirit Sanctuary.
He knew that entering that warehouse would lead to something bad but turning his back now and ignoring it would have grave consequences for the future he might have with the girl he loved.
Jumping down from the container he walked over to the warehouse and opened the door that wasn't locked, not surprising at all, they have been expecting him after all.
The warehouse was dark apart from one light shining over the table in the back of it and the table was occupied by three guys that seemed to have been playing a game quite loudly while a young looking woman was sitting on top of the crates not far from the table, seemingly bored.
Not one of the four twitched or shown any signs of movement when he entered inside. Alexander knew very well that all of them were fully aware of his presence so he just let the door behind him shut on its own loudly and walked forward.
As he stepped out of the shadow and into the light, only a couple steps away from the table, two out of three men had guns pointing at him while the oldest and the furthest one just sat there and watched him. The young woman smirked on her crate as she watched Alexander as well, quickly getting off it she walked towards him.
Feeling the touch of that woman on his chest as she pushed him back onto the wall, Alex could feel his blood boil but he was not in the position to make his move yet.
As she pushed him to the end of the wall Monique pulled her hand down his chest and below, reaching his belt she unbuckled it and threw it away together with his swords to the side. Pulling her hand up to his face she gently ran her finger where the rune on his face once was, giggling as he turned his face away from her...Looking at the woman he once knew very well from the corner of his eye, Alex spoke as calmly as he could;
What is the meaning of this Monique?...those three monkeys there are not enough for you?
Just as expected, his provocation didn't go unnoticed. The closest guy who was conveniently the biggest one of them stood up and pushed Monique aside, punching Alexander in the stomach.
Alex over exaggerated the impact he barely felt thanks to that demon, he threw himself on his knees, only to get hit on the face with the handle of a gun. Spitting some blood on the floor and touching his jaw...that one he felt.
He was dragged over to the chair at the table and sat down on. Monique approached him from the back and pulled his hands, handcuffing him behind the chair. She took the opportunity to lick his ear from behind but he quickly pulled his head away as much as he could, angrily looking at her.
The big guy was having a blast playing in charge, hitting Alexander once more and pointing the barrel of his gun down at Alex's head, telling him;
..you activate those runes and it will be the last thing you do, you hear me?!
Alexander coughed and pulled his head up, looking straight at the oldest guy that was silently sitting across the table and looking back at Alex with crossed arms...
...To be continued.
